Forma Campers set out to rethink the camper trailer. Most RVs look and feel decades behind the cars that tow them, so the goal was a camper that stands apart from the RV industry while sitting naturally alongside modern automotive design.

The result is a faceted, origami-like shell that opens up into a surprisingly spacious living and kitchen area — a comfortable way to explore nature that appeals to people who would never have considered a traditional caravan.

My role

MK Design co-founded Forma Campers and has been involved in every stage of the product, from the first sketches to the trailers leaving the workshop:

  • Concept and design development
  • CAD design and CAM programming
  • Prototyping and testing
  • Technical documentation
  • Managing manufacturing
  • Finance and company operations

Recognition

The design quickly drew international attention, with features in New Atlas, autoevolution, WERD, Iron & Air and HomeCrux.
